1. Data controller

The data controller is Voxdub, 1 Rue Georges Charpak, BAT D APPT 2, 33140 Villenave-d'Ornon, France, publisher of the voxdub.com website and the Voxdub app. For any questions about your personal data, you can contact us at hello@voxdub.com.

2. Data collected

We collect the following data:

  • Account data : email address, name (if provided) when you sign up.
  • Usage data : pages visited, features used, performance data, and anonymised session recordings (via PostHog).
  • Project data : video files, subtitles, and audio recordings that you import or create in Voxdub.
  • Payment data : processed directly by Stripe. We do not store any bank or card details.

3. Purposes of processing

  • Provide and maintain the Voxdub service
  • Manage your account and subscription
  • Improve the product using anonymised usage data
  • Send you notifications related to your account
  • Ensure the security of the service

4. Hosting and processors

Your data is hosted and processed by:

  • Stripe — payments
  • AWS / OVH — hosting and file storage
  • Google (Tag Manager / Analytics) — web analytics
  • Sentry — error tracking
  • PostHog — product analytics and session recordings (United States)

Some of these providers are located outside the European Union, in particular in the United States (Stripe, Google, Sentry, PostHog). These transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

5. Data retention

Your account data is kept for as long as your account is active. Project data is deleted when you delete your project or your account. Analytics data is anonymised after 26 months.

For inactive free accounts, we may delete project files (videos, audio, exports) after a prolonged period of inactivity. Before any deletion, we notify you by email and give you a window to log back in and keep your data; simply logging in during that window is enough to keep it. Accounts with an active subscription are not affected.

6. Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, port, and object to the processing of your personal data, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in France the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), in the UK the ICO (ico.org.uk), or the authority in your country of residence. 7. Cookies

Voxdub uses cookies that are essential to the operation of the service (authentication, preferences) and, subject to your consent, analytics and measurement cookies (Google, PostHog, including session recordings). Google and PostHog analytics and measurement cookies are only set after you consent, which you can give or refuse through our consent banner and withdraw at any time. Essential cookies do not require consent.

Without your consent, or after you refuse, we measure the audience with PostHog in cookieless mode. No cookie or identifier is stored on your device. PostHog processes your IP address and your browser's user agent to compute a pseudonymous hash that changes every day. We measure only page views, technical errors, use of the free tools, and clicks on the app download links. There is no session recording and no automatic click tracking. All four homepage TikTok players load automatically in muted mode when their section enters view, without a prior click. TikTok then receives your IP address and may set or read cookies. The analytics consent banner does not control this loading: rejecting analytics cookies does not block TikTok.

8. Legal bases for processing

We process your data on the following legal bases: performance of our contract with you (providing the service and managing your subscription); our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, product improvement, and cookieless audience measurement with PostHog); your consent (analytics cookies and session recordings); and compliance with our legal obligations (accounting, tax).

9. Minimum age

Voxdub is not intended for people under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
